| Whether from customizable assist lists or entering information on the fly, Sharp's
flexible Application Integration Module (MX-AMX1) allows you to add information
or metadata to your scanned documents. This enables you to instruct selected
applications how to handle your scanned document, allowing you to take control
of your document workflow right from your IMAGER's touch-screen panel, thereby
automating tasks that once took several steps.
AIM (Application Integration Module) is available on Sharp's AR-M257, AR-M317,
AR-M355, AR-M455, MX-2300N/2700N, MX-3500N/3501N/4501N,
and MX-550/620/700 devices. This allows data describing the image file
to be entered at the MFP's touch-screen panel and sent along with the image
as an XML file. It is then automatically routed to a folder or integrated with
a third-party application.
Metadata can be linked with application programs such as fax servers, Document
Management applications, Workflow applications and encryption servers to create
an advanced document solution environment.
